Hi. Thought i'd share this quite strange experience with you all movie-editors out there: The re-edit of the Audio in a movie can be quite tricky to get in proper place, eg. out of sync issues, timestretching, finding the proper programs for that and so on. Now, what I found out(it might not be a new thing, what do i know..:))was this: Took a Divx.avi in 23.976FPS -NTSC that i wanted to put back on DVD, ripped the sound out of it and converted in BeeSweet to 25FPS PAL(no news so far) Also took the.avi-file into VirtualDub and just changed the framerate to 25FPS and saved as a new 25FPS.avi.
This would normally cause an out of sync issue as far as i know since that change-framerate-to-PAL in VDub isn't the proper or most effective way to do it. However, joined this newly created 25FPS avi-file back together with the Audio since i was prepared to make another Audio-video resync but the Audio was in sync the whole movie...(?) then i loaded my .avs-script into CCE, reencoded the .avi, muxed that m2v with the 25FPS Audio and ended up with a perfect .mpg that i burned on a DVD. Was this pure luck with this specific movie-source or is this just another very simple technique to convert?

No need to bother VD :D Use assumefps(25) in avs script and voila
Movie is shorter by ~4% both in audio (by BS) and video (by VD or AS), so it isn't strange experience at all. Or isn't :sly:
