help opening a program

hi.i have a zipped program that wont open.comes up saying ms dos.how do you unzip in ms dos?thank you for your help.

You have to have MSDOS based ZIP program. It is:
pkunzip.exe - for unzipping
pkzip.exe - for zipping

If you write to MSDOS prompt pkunzip -? or /? or ? (I am not sure now) the program will list help with its parameters. Generally it have to be: PKUNZIP -parameter XXXXXX.ZIP.

I think you can find these two programs on some abandonware page. Try www.abandonia.com, or www.classic-trash.com or ...
