mix video and audio

hi , i want to mix music with vido , like when people make their own music videos with different shots of things and then they put the music in it , what programs do i need to make that? thanks

depends on how professional you want to get - the easiest way would probably be to append a couple of mp3 files and then mux them into the video with virtualdubmod

the other end would be to use a program like premiere pro or vegas video - where you have tons of possibilities but
a) you need those programs - which are definitely not cheap
b) you need at least some knownledge of them to be able to use them!
