Hello.
I have an old compaq presario 1600-XL145 notebook that hasn't been working for a long time. So I thought that maybe I can use the LCD screen from it to replace my CRT desktop monitor. So I researched it a bit and one person explained to me that "most laptop lcds have a proprietary display connector." At this point I have no idea where to get started and im not even sure if it's possible. So my question is how can I take apart my notebook LCD and hook it up as a regular monitor to use on my desktop.
