SVCD to DVD menus

Ok i Plan to be making a DVD from multiple SVCD files, from what ive read to do what i want i will need use TMPEGDVD Author, will it allow me to make a custom menu with some video in the background behind some photoshop made elements and motion buttons? Do i need to use TMPEG DVD Author or can i use some thing else like DVD Architect. OR can i make the menu in another program and tehn export it to TMPEG DVD Author. Thanks for any help that can be given.

1. use TMPGEnc to convert ALL ur video files (mpg, avi, m2v etc.) to MPG2, 480x572, 48Khz audio - 224kbs. watch that ALL files are the same source: PAL or NTSC!
2. use DVDPatcher to patch ALL ur video files to 720x572
3. use DVDlab to author ur DVD. its easy to use and u can male advanced menus. better than the ulead etc. software.
4. use DVDPatcher to patch the final vobs (Video_TS folder) back to 480x572
