Frame repeating help

My vhs to dvd conversion was going fine until I ran into this problem with one episode. My problem is that towards the end of one of my captures I noticed random frames are blended together and during the capture process I got frame drops. Previously, I have not had any frame drops and I would assume that is why some of my frames were blended together. This causes the picture to "flash/blink" on playback. Playing the original video from my vcr to descaler shows no problems. I am pretty sure its the source video since I tried 3 differnet captures programs. Would the decimate filter fix this? I dont think they are repeated frames but more like a previous frame is combined with the present one. Does any of this make sense? thanks

this is commonly called "field blending"
and is mostly caused by standards conversion (NTSC <-> PAL)

or a speedup / slowdown of the video

I am not changing from NTSC to Pal so is there another reason why I would get these "blended fields". The blended fields also come at the end of the episode, if that has anything to do with it. The cartoon was recorded off of my tv in NTSC and I am trying to convert this onto dvd. Is there a way to fix this? Or do I just have to go manually through the video and delete each blended frame? BTW, thanks for the insight.

after analysis, I can give you more inforation, why those blends occur and how to remove them (if possible)

The images, you linked on, aren't viewable, cause you linked to your local HDD.

also, I need I sample clip, three images aren't sufficient.

compress about 50 frames with interlaced XVId.
crop away black borders.
half the horizontal size.
but NEVER alter the vertical size (except by cropping)

A little update

I switched vcr's and the resulting capture did not have the blended fields. This vcr was the original vcr that the cartoon was recorded on. The only problem is that there is a huge difference in quality of the capture. The vcr that I recorded the episode on from my tv only has composite out. The vcr that caused the problem and I want to use has s-video out. I had no idea that the quality would be that different...but it is. Anyone have any experience with the JVC HR-S2901U w/s-video out? Maybe there is a setting on the vcr that causes my "blended fields".
