Am not sure which forum this is meant to go to.

I've used Gordian Knot and DVD2VCD. What I want to do is extract a certain clip from a DVD (let's say between 00:10:00 to 00:10:15 mins). And Divx/VCD encode it (whether on the fly or batch processing).

Does anyone know what tools I need to use or whether you can do this with Gordian Knot/DVD2VCD?

I take it I have to rip the entire film as avi, then use VirtualDub to extract clips from the film?

If you know when the clip occurs that you want then you could select just that one chapter and rip it. It would take less time and you could edit the avi file in vdub to get exactly what you want.

Or, during DGIndex (DVD2AVI) processing, you can use the [ and ] buttons to select a scene, thus producing a small .d2v project file containing only the selection.
