Im gonna try to put this clear as water.
Ok I got a DVD-R of "the butterfly effect" with spanish subtitles. Ripped of course.
When I try to do a CVD with permanent subtitles. DVD2SVCD extracts the subtitles all ok from subtitle 00001 to 00801. From 00802 to the last one (1517) the bmp subtitle files, are in full frame, I mean the hole 352x480 Black frame, with the white subtitles at the bottom. The first 801 subtitles are correct, they are cutted around the subtitle caracters. I mean they are small, not a hole frame (352x480). So regardless of the fact that I dont know why does that happend, those subtitles wich are full frame, DONT SHOW UP ON SCREEN, THEY ARE MISSING and its half of the movie!! :scared:
When i try to correct the subtitles color pallette, in the input tab theres are only two colors used, and they are not looking like they normally have to look (you know white font blue outline and gray antialias and of course black background.
I know you are going to say, silly boy, just try and rip the subtitles with subrip, and then add them as external subs. BUT I ALREADY TRIED THAT and another problem came up. When I tried this "external subs" thingie, the M..F...ers show up just sometimes ever once in a while. I checked the subtitles with the Subtitle Workshop and they apeared to be fine they are all there, except one according to Sub RIP because or it was very little, or has very short duration.
I MUST ADD THAT I WATCHED THE HOLE MOVIE AND ALL THE SUBS SHOWED UP FINE.
So my questionS ARE: Am I going to be able to work this subtitles to show up? Am I doomed to never rip this DVD-R? or Is there a way (I hope an easy one) to DVD2SVCD to rip them good?
