Problem recurring with movie just stopping...?

Hi guys...

Hopefully someone else has seen this and knows whats up...

On a few discs I have had a problem with the movie just freezing on my stand alone players. Yet it previews without the problem in IfoEdit's previewer.

It happens in both cases at the beginning of the second cell in a chapter. The movie plays through the first cell of the chapter successfully and a few frames into the second cell and then just stops as if I hit the pause button. But pause has NOT been activated.

If I hit FF and then play I can continue the cell. It just hangs at this one spot. So far I have tried to mock strip the data but end up with the same FREEZE at the same exact place.

I have posted the IFO HERE (http://posunplugged.com/roswell_ifo). The problem occurs at the beginning of Chapter_4/Cell_6

Any help is appreciated...

So far discs that represent are:

Sounds like known issue 11 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78541).

What brand players do you have and are all effected in the same way?

Both are Sonys... One is a cheapo... and the other is a 300 disc system... 875P...

So I guess I will try to run one of my problem discs through DVDReMake and see if that fixes it... Has jdobbs come up with anything...?

The cause is still unknown and though all reports are from Sony players, jdobbs himself has a Sony which has never displayed this problem.

I just finished testing two of the discs that demonstrated the freeze... Both were cured by running the RB data through DVDReMake Pro...

The sad thing is I have about 30 movies I have run through RB and have not yet had time to view... I hope I am not going to have to toss a bunch of discs... and I sure don't wanna run EVERYTHING through DVDReMake AFTER RB to insure a working disc...

Please let me know if anyone wants before and after data to test or source the problem.. I'll keep it on hand for a week or so...

For anyone following this thread the problem appears to be resolved in DVD-Rebuilder version 0.56 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=527916#post527916)!
