Can I burn my Mpeg4 Multiplexed movies on DVD +R that can be played by my standalone DVD cum MP4 player?
Second question is how can I split my audio and video from a AVI (Xvid) file before multiplexing them into mp4? Is it necessary? As my Xvid encoded movie has both video and sound, can I convert it directly to MP4?
Thanks for giving me some response!!

atm only philips mpeg-4 players handle .mp4 (it has to be tested whether this includes dvdr)

hi bond.. thanks for your warning ;-) Well, i did read most the relevant threads regarding my questions but somehow missed that U asked not to reply the sticky :p

Coming back to my questions: I did follow your guide to create MP4 files using MP4UI but it didn't say anything about XVID files having both video and sound together.. I couldn't figure it out exactly how can I split my Xvid?
Secondly, I couldn't find any Guide talking about Xvid to Mp4 direct conversion.. sorry :-(

About Mp4 standalone players, actually I have seen in the market a DVD player compatible with mp4.. now I am not sure MP4 compatible means that it can play all MPEG4 movies contained in MP4 regardless of codecs used to encode them ( eg. DivX, Xvid etc..) Am i thinking on right lines???

One more question: Is Xvid compatible with h264?
