View Full Version : One problem for experts in Scenarist

Hello everybody,

Since months I've been trying to find a solution for this problem

¿How could I mark chapters in a video stream that I'm going to use in a menu, and at the same time use a subpicture and a highlight which have the duration of the whole stream?

It seems impossible. As soon as I make a chapter in the video stream I can't use properly the subpicture, because its duration change to the value of the first chapter and there's no way to increase it.

But the thing is that a lot of dvds I have demuxed and worked with them have video streams in the menu with several programms, that's to say, points of access that you can link when doing the navigation.

I would be very grateful If someone could solve that question..

You have to set the "Start time to video" for your subpic and your highlightstream. For this you have to select the subpicstream in Trackeditor and then you can set this property in propertybrowser, same for highlightstream. The other way is to simply drag your subpic to the chapter you need.

hope that helped... Cona

Edit:
For different BTT-highlights you can use the timestamp-field (don't now how to call it else) in simulationwindow

Thank you, cona812

I tried both things and the second one works fine. One different subpicture for each chapter.

The first solution, that as a matter of fact is what I was looking for, one only subpicture for the whole stream, doesn't work, because I get that message "subpicture is across scene boundary", and that eliminates the subpicture and all the buttons.

Thanks again.

good you made it;)

I forgot to say:
For the first solution you first have to drag the existing subpic in the correct chapter before you can set the property. You can also change the start time or duration of subpics with the mouse in your timeline.
