I got problems when i play ogm files with vorbis sound. The sound is crackly (both with downloaded ogms and ogms that i made myself). I use Media Player Classic and I noticed 2 vorbis decoders are used when playing (Vorbis Decoder AND Vorbis Decoder 0002).

I'm not sure how to fix this, please help cause i like ogm + vorbis very much :D.
I already tried several options in Media Player Classic and reinstalled ogm direct show filter, but it hasn't solved the problem yet.

a) set output from ieee-float to 16bit int wav

and/or

b) disable "all streams".

I enabled 16 bit decoding and it didn't solve it.

I also disabled the Media Player Classic ogm splitter and then disabled decode all streams in the normal ogm splitter. This did the trick and every ogm sounds ok after a few restarts of Media Player classic :).

EDIT: i also had to change sound output from waveout to directsound.
EDIT2: An ogm with both AC3 and vorbis audiostreams still doesn't work, both streams are played. :/

Thx Koepi!

Have a look in audio options, if the internal audio switcher is enabled. If it isn't and you don't have the morgan stream switcher installed, it won't work.
If it's enabled already, then try the morgan switcher instead ;)

I installed AC3 filter instead of the MPC ac3 filter. Just one stream is playing now, like it should, but I have crackling in the sound and the video doesn't play smoothly (speeds up for moment once in a while).

I installed Morgan Stream Switcher and disabled the MPC built-in switcher, but this causes MPC to crash.

I guess i really messed things up. Maybe i should reset all MPC settings...

Could this all be caused by a soundcard? I got a new soundcard some weeks ago, i'm not sure if that was the time when the trouble started.

K, i removed the MPC ini file and everything seems to be alright again, phew! Thx, for your help.
