DoItFast4U 1.4.7 Problem

Every time I press the Do It button the program just shuts down. This does not happen with 1.4.0.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

hi rockdj99uk and welcome to the forum!

this is probably a question for the programmers, however i would suggest that the problem lies not with DIF4U but with NuMenu4U.
you can prove/disprove this by running NuMenu4U prior to DIF4U (remember though that you should change your settings in DIF4U to suit - deselect option to 're-encode menus using numenu prior to demuxing') and see if NuMenu gives you any errors.
if so please post any errors you receive in this thread: NuMenu4u RC1 now released (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79384) - although i should also ask what version of NuMenu4U you are using?

you could also take numenu4u completely out of the loop to verify that it is the cause of your issue - remember to deselect the option in DIF4U 'do not copy menu files'

It's not NuMenu4U, that works fine on its own and it DoItFast still closes down with NM4U taken out of the loop.

I don't know if this will help but you can check as see if the directory DIF4U creates actually exists on your K: drive.

Thanks for the idea but unfortunately that wasn't it. The folder was successfully created. I've just tried creating a folder on a different drive and right clicking on it but still the same problem. It seems to close down at the same point, no matter what I do.

actually, come to think of it i had a similar problem the last time i was using DIF4U. It would get part way thru a demux and then it would just quit with no errors or warnings. is this similar to your problem? i chalked it up to needing to reload my system. it would be nice to track down the cause of the problem.

This is almost the same as my problem except it doesn't even start the demux. It gets as far as creating any folders it needs to and then when opening the first app it closes down. I've tried it without NuMenu4U and still the same. NuMenu4U works fine when manually started.

None of this happens with the older version 1.4.0.

are you sure that it's 'closing' and not minimizing to the systray?

No, its definitely closing, the exe is not even running in task manager after the screen disappears.

This is really strange as I don't get this with the previous version.
