I have 2 menus Main menu and Chapter Menu. On the Main menu screen I have 4 buttons when I press the second button (Chapter Menu) I am taken to the chapter menu with the second button highlighted. How do i prevent this from happening? I do not want to force activate chapter Menu button1 as I want the chapter menu to remember the last chapter selected.

So basically If the user presses button 2 on the Main Menu I want them to be taken to chapter menu (button 1 highlighted).
If the user clicks scene 3 and watches the movie and then presses Menu on the remote control I want them to be taken back to the chapter menu with button 3(scene 3) highlighted.

Main menu has 4 buttons
button 1 = Play Movie;
button 2 = Chapter Menu
button 3 = Subtitle Menu
button 4 = Options Menu

Chapter Menu has 5 buttons;
button 1 = Scene 1
button 2 = Scene 2
button 3 = Scene 3
button 4 = Scene 4
button 5 = Main Menu

I also would like it if the user presses Main Menu from the Chapter Menu the DVD will navigate to the Main Menu with button 2 highlighted(Chapter Menu). This would be really great. Please help, I have tried SPRM 8 but I do not know how to use it correctly I have just about got my head around GPRMS.

the authoring program you are using would help, and pretty much all you are asking can be done without touching scripting (at least in DVDMaestro & DVD Studio Pro)

as for the last one, you will have to make the main menu as a menu, and the other menus as BoV, cause there is no SRPM for 'referrer', except in DVD Studio Pro.

Hi,
Sorry about the cross posting, I realised I placed the question in the wrong forum. I am using Scenarist.

In Scenarist, you can set the highlight button and then link to the relevant menu page, so...

on the main menu, use the command: Set Highlight Button, select button number 1, then use the Link function at the bottom of the Simulation window to link to the scene menu.

It will be exactly the same process going back to the main menu, only the highlight button will be 2.
