What kind of noise in the picture? *image inside*

I have a DV camcorder and video has a noise when I record video in dim light. See example below.

And I can’t find denoiser for this video.
I tried to use a lot of denoisers from topic Speed and compression of different denoisers (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51181). Only SmoothHiQ had an effect, all other denoisers did not have an effect at all. Could anybody explain what kind of noise is it? And what denoiser can be most effective?

what you're seeing is simple chroma noise, combined with a fair whack of luma grain.

best way to combat it is a fairly heavy temporal smooth on only the chroma, combined with a much lighter spatial and/or temporal smooth on the luma.

there are plenty of denoisers that can handle this... i'm not sure why only smoothHIQ worked for you where the others didn't.

i recommend something like removedirt to subtly push down the grain without removing actual detail. the luma noise will disappear with this filter as well, i suspect. though without a video sample of a few frames to test on i couldn't say for sure. i've certainly tackled DV footage with similar noise levels.

if you've got a lot of spare time, you could give PixieDust a go - that will track motion and perform a temporal smooth on even moving parts. the catch is it is an old plugin and requires yuy2, also it is extremely slow.

of course the best solution is to shoot with more light. you'll get better videos and waste less time in post. large (circa 500 watt halogen) floodlights are extremely cheap, and combined with some baking paper and a coat hanger make exceptionally good lights. also, a naked floodlight pointed at the ceiling will give a nice softness to flesh tones. White-balancing is also very important.
