Hello guys, I tried to find an answer on my question in this forum, but I didn't have a luck...

I have encoded about 40 movies (DIVX,XVID-->SVCD) in the past and there wasn't any problem. But now I have encoded few "newer" movies (School of rock, A view from the top...), everything looks ok... but when I play the SVCD (on standalone DVD player or on PC, no difference), the fps of screen is too low... It looks like 16-18fps. Sound and subtitles (permanent because my player) are ok. Older movies are ok and without change of any parameter in DVD2SVCD, the newer movies are...

I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.2.1 with TMPGEnc, new codecs and movies are XVID whit 29.976fps... If you need some more info, please ask...

Thank you

Nick

Hi.
A warm welcome to our forums!

I assume you made these AVI's you speak of yourself to back up your DVD collection. If so, re-rip from the original DVD. If not, read the rules and you'll see why you cannot get help here.

If there is a good reason why you cannot re-rip the DVD (eg damaged disc etc) and have to convert back from a DivX backup then I'm amazed you didn't find an answer to your problem here in the forum. This post (click here) (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79688) from just 5 days ago is on the exact same issue. As this is getting asked more and more frequently, I've updated the AVI2SVCD sticky to address this.

In future, be sure to read up recent posts and do a really comprehensive search to see if your problem has already been answered before posting it over again.

Cheers
Nick
