Removing unwanted audio/video before DVD RB

I want to try to remove as much unwanted audio and video tracks before using DVD Rebuilder. I was thinknig of using DVD Shrink for this but when you use it you lose the menu. Is there any way to reduce the file size before encoding with DVD Rb?? Thanks.

I am currently using Clone DVD 2 to remove the audio/video I don't want. I set the quality to 100% so no compressin will take place. So I am going to try using RB on the resulting files. I hope this works. I will report back.

You don't lose the menu with DVD Shrink, as long as you do a 'backup' and not 'reauthor'.

You can't remove video in full disk mode.

How do I know, that CloneDVD doesn't affect the picture quality? (Not compress.) Set some extra high output ISO size instead of DVD5 setting?
Are there any dvd-movies which i shouldn't use CloneDVD on to get rid of extras and trailers before using Rebuilder?

You can set the target size to 9000 mb.
When clonedvd is building the image the program turns off the transcoder.
I am not sure if clonedvd can strip angels,ifoedit can.
One last thing clonedvd can not decrypt the dvd.
Use dvddecrypter for that.

DvdReMake will remove video and make it easy to hide menu buttons refering to the removed items.
Its not free but its powerful.

I always pre-process with CloneDVD. Works great.

Yea between DVDRemake and IFOEdit you can remove anything from the original files that you want. And neither seem to butcher the source too much. Then run it through rebuilder.

this is the manual way of doing things but you will understand more about DVD structure.

Re-make is great for stripping out all the unwanted video/menus that you don't want. Then re-builder itself will allow you to strip out all of the audio tracks that you don't need.

What more could you ask for?

I use DVDRemake to remove all the unwanted extras. Audio us just a matter of using ifoedit!

I would advise against using nay of the above mentioned utilities for pre-stripping any streams from title-sets you are keeping. I have tried this in the past and you are asking for trouble with possible sub-title problems, scanning blocks etc etc. Use Rebuilder to strip out unwanted streams.

Unwanted titles, extras, warnings etc are a different matter - all the above mentioned utilities / methods usually work fine providing you follow the rules to ensure proper DVD structure is retained.

I use dvdstripper just for removing extras like trailers and stuff like that. Unwanted audio i remove later with dvdrebuilder.
I have made about 20 dvd's with this method without any problem what so ever:p
Unneeded buttons in the menu i disable with menuedit before burning
