Addition: Added Highlight detection and auto padding for sub streams not demuxed (requires custom vsrip/vsconv)
Addition: Added Highlight creation and starts of BoV (requires custom vsrip/vsconv)
Addition: Added XP Theme compatibility

Fix: Corrected problem with audio routine when parsing filenames with spaces in it - (delaycut didn't like spaces in the name)
Change: Modifed ifo handler to correct for poor ifo layouts caused by bad authoring
Change: Audio delay routine now purely uses difference in frames from audio -> video and ignores filename
Change: Rewrote sub time handlers for better placement for NTSC subs
Change: Modified Interface to allow for XP Manifests and better location for info..
Change: Modified Automate_Scenarist to allow for better control (should help with lockups)
Change: Interface Cleanup / Slight redesign
.26 rev B

Something odd...
Whenever I choose Options|BatchCCE Options|Open BatchCCE the item goes grey rather than putting a check in front and the only way to recover from the issue is to restart ScenAid. I've got all the latest runtimes, so I doubt that's the issue. Any ideas? ;)

Checked that. For me, it is the same.
But anyway, big thanks for the new release.

17th July 2004, 13:24
Well that was interesting...
Ok..fixed the checkbox issue and replaced .26 with .26b
Please just download the 26 installer again and rerun...
new version will say Release revB

hello D3s7,
there's also a checkbox issue with sub handling:
scenaid either checks or unchecks both original palette and scenarist palette or seems to do nothing at all. restarting resolves this problem (i.e. the option that i really want to be checked is checked).
and i'm afraid i found another bug:
i tried to make a backup of the fifth element deluxe edition r2. when generating the script with version .26 i get the following error:
Procedure Name: FindSubLocation
Module Name: ProcessAssets
Error Number: 9
Error Description: Index außerhalb des gültigen Bereichs
Error Source: ScenAid
Error Line: 64
Call Stack:
FindSubLocation --> ProcessAssets
ProcessSST --> ProcessAssets
ProcessSubs --> ProcessAssets
ProcessDIF --> Form1
DIF_Browse_Click --> Form1
when disabling sub processing everything is fine and the script is generated.
then i tried with version .25 and get this error:
Procedure Name: WriteBMPData
Module Name: ScriptGenerate
Error Number: 13
Error Description: Typen unverträglich
Error Source: ScenAid
Error Line: 141
Call Stack:
WriteBMPData --> ScriptGenerate
GenerateData --> ScriptGenerate
GenerateScriptFile --> ScriptGenerate
ExecuteBuild_Click --> Form1
ProcessDIF --> Form1
DIF_Browse_Click --> Form1
i can send you the log of version .25 if you want to, but not of .26 as it seems that there's no log generated by the new version (at least i can't find one).

edit: .26b resolves batchcce issue but not the others mentioned

as soon as I get a reply back from a few people I'll release .27

Hey D3s7. I'm still getting 'error 9 - subscript out of range' with 2 different movies. One is a Seamless Branching title, the other is an Angles movie.

Hi D3s7.
I was glad to find out that the newest Scenaid fixed the "subscript out of range" error I was facing with the Pirates Of The Carribean extras disk, however it seeme that new problems have occured.
I have tried backing up 3 different movies using the newest Scenaid and none of them were completed successfully. To be more precise, Scenarist gives the following error for all 3 movies :
Info Multiplexing VOB "D:\SHOT\mux_data\\Shot-VTS01_007_Track_t.vob".
Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Error Subpicture[1] (436:VTS1_P7_00_436.sp) and (437:VTS1_P7_00_437.sp) offset are overlapped (00:32:10;01-00:32:12;03) and (00:32:12;00-00:32:15;01)
Error dvd_mux : Open Mux_list File Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (Shot-VTS01_007_Track_t.vob).
Error Wrong mux_list. Mux_list format or stream ID may be wrong.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Error Multiplexing failed, Track "VTS01_007_Track"
Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD Video files could not be created
If I manually fix the subpicture overlapping, then the only error I get is :
Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD Video files could not be created,
and again Scenarist fails to compile correctly.
I tried those exact movies with previous versions of Scenaid (.24 and .25) and Scenarist compiled flawlessly (it didn't even give me the subpicture overlapping error). So I guess there's a bug in the newest Scenaid... Just wanted to let you know so that you could also take that bug into consideration when releasing the new version.
FYI, I've been using the default settings of Scenaid, as they are when the program was installed. The only change I made is enable the "Generate Script after Scan" option. Everything else is default (which means under "Sub Handling" I'm using "Use Scenarist Pallette", if that makes any difference.
Keep up the good work, man. ;)

Can you email me a few things from the failing release
1) the .log file
2) the .scp file
3) the .sst file for VTS1_P7_00
Thanks

@iparout
THX MAN ! im fighting with that problem for 4 days now ! never even tought about getting back to older scenaid - i will give it a try when CCE finishes ;]
D3s7
19th July 2004, 03:15
well if you've been fighting w/ it for 4 days it's not a .26 problem :)
1 thing to check for all getting overlap issues: check the .sst and make sure it's not like that in there... one thing I need to add is for the system to check for overlaps which it doesn't right now.. it assumes the .sst is correct.
In ipa's problem.. it's obvious it's an issue w/ .26 but i've seen a number of "broke" .sst files lately

Of course I can e-mail you those things. Unforunately not for the movie I was working on yesterday since I finished it using older Scenaid versions and once it was burnt on a DVD+R, all files were deleted from HDD.
However, this problem occured in every movie I tried to backup so tonight I'll work on Runaway Jury and when the problem occurs I'll e-mail you the things you asked. ;)

well I believe I've found the problem....
i commented out the wrong line in the source and ended up forcing all subscans to 30fps
if a couple PAL individuals could shoot me their email address I'd appreciate a few testers... (preferably someone that doesn't use hotmail seeing how it's not real happy w/ attachments)

while backing up alien quadrilogy (that previously worked with .25 revB) i get this error:
Procedure Name: ProcessAVS
Module Name: ProcessAssets
Error Number: 9
Error Description: Subscript out of range
Error Source: ScenAid
Error Line: 87
Call Stack:
ProcessAVS --> ProcessAssets
ProcessDIF --> Form1
the only difference this time is i'm keeping the x84, x85 unmarked sub streams that hold the 'removed footage marker' so it goes x80 (W) EN, x81 (L) EN, two dummies for ES and then 2 unmarked ones. Let me know if you want a log.

19th July 2004, 19:29
hmm.. that appears to be finding an asset that doesn't exist in the ifo..
lemme add some debug code and I'll shoot you a build to test..
EDIT: ahh.. dumb on my part again.... ok.. think i resolved it... i'll send to you to test

Thanks.

D3s7, I sent u a PM here and e-mailed the files u need from were my backup of a PAL release with 0.26 fails with scenarist, both imports of subs and build.
hope we can fix this and I´m here as a tester if needed. :)

i also get the same error messages.
With .25 I get no errors at importing in scenarist, but at exporting in scenarist I get the overlapped subtitles error!

I have also noticed that i get some overlapping sub errors, which i had never before. Examination of the sst files learns me that those are ok. In the sst file there's no overlap, while in my scenarist project they do overlap.
D3s7
20th July 2004, 13:16
yeah... i had forced the subs to 30fps but scenes were at 25.... (oops)
so it was giving overlap issues as it tried to adjust them incorrectly..
1 step forward 3 back :(

d3s7,
testing your latest build, pls check your email. the substreams that are erroring out are the ones with the 'missing footage marker' but i think the streams for those vobids are empty.
let me know. thx!

found that the latest problem occurs due to empty .sst files, renamed all to .bak and reassembled the .scp. looks like it's compiling fine now (aside from the scenarist's odd number of frames error and ocassional CC errors). the empty .sst's that were the culprit contain only the header and no actual timecode / bmp references. here's one :

Just added a check for 0bmp's in a .sst and consider it not there if that's the case...

I believe this is the last outstanding item from teh .26 reports...
