Hey there,

I just got a new burner, Sony DRU-530A, yesterday because my old Pioneer crapped out.

After burning about 10 disks, an error came up and said there was an Invalid Field in CDB...I figured I would just pop in a new disk and try it again and it worked.

After about 5 more disks, I experienced the same error, here is the exact message:

---------------------------
DVD Decrypter
---------------------------
I/O Error!

It just pops up again when I hit retry and this is what DVD Decryptor's log file says:

I 19:23:31 Average Write Rate: 2,413 KB/s (1.7x) - Maximum Write Rate: 5,649 KB/s (4.1x)

This is the second time this has happened on two different images.

If anyone could please let me know what I can do to fix this or if it is the burner that's having problems I will take it back. Also, I never had this error on my Pioneer drive before this.

Thanks in advance,
ZXJ

I'd expect the second error when the first one has happened.

It probably means some of the sectors were written ok within that block but not all.

Quite why you're getting errors on RITEKG04 discs is anyones guess!

You didnt buy the cheap Grade B or C ones did you?

No sign of dirt / scratches on the writing surface?
