DVD To AVI WITH Subtitles...

I have a DVD that is Region 3 so it won't play on my DVD player.

I as able to use DVD shrink to create VOB files however.

I want to create a .avi from tehse files complete with English subtitles so I can use TMPGE DVD author to create a Region 1 DVD taht will play on my DVD player.

What is the best program to create the .avi and how do I ensure I get the english subtitles?

This doesn't really belong here, but...

I would rip the original DVD with a ripper that can remove region coding. (SmartRipper, DVDDecryptor) Then just burn the resulting VOBs bck to a DVD.

Voila! Same DVD content, including all audio, subtitles etc but without region coding.
