Which Calculator to Use?

I have Koepi's XviD-1.0.1-05062004 release. Built into the codec configuration is a bitrate calculator, and XviD-1.0.1-05062004 itself comes with Nic's minicalc.

Using these settings:
02:20:00
1433MB destination
448kbps AC3
AVI Overhead
23.976 FPS

On both codecs results in wildly differing bitrates and sizes:

Nic's Mini Calc:
XViD Video Size: 964,732kb
Size in MB: 942 MB
Bitrate: 941 kBit/s

Koepi's Codec-Integrated Calculator:
XVid Video Size: 1,493,316kb
Size in MB: ~1400mb
Bitrate: 1456 kBit/s.

Now, my question is this: Why are they so different? Which one is the right one to use?

Using my Excel spreadsheet calculator I got a video bitrate of 975.9 kbps. The built in Xvid calc told me 1488 kbps for the video stream. So it seems something is really wrong.

It is pretty clear that xvid's calculator ignores audio stream completely.

Can someone check what's going on?

Yeah, it really did look to be sincerely off on the KoepiCalc, and I figured the audio stream was being ignored by judging from the KoepiCalc result.

I figured I'd check with the people who know best before I made my move. I'll stick with minicalc unless someone can suggest something better?

It was a bug (overflow), that caused the audio size to be calculated incorrectly. It was already fixed and commited to CVS.
