normally i encode using dvd2svcd and besweet like this:

rok1.avi
rok2.avi
append using vdub mod

demux the ac3 out using vdub mod

then disable it and save the single file

use dvd2svcd set to use cce ntsc to pal and audio to 384 and cd size to 4400 ect

use besweet gui in wizard mode, besweet uses azid and ac3enc to take .ac3 and convert to 25fps

then use tmpgenc dvd author to put the .mpv together with the .ac3

and normally ive got a dvd.

now the problems:
some players seem to have an audio sync problem my xcard seems fine.
i converted some ntsc xvids which had a vbr mp3 to pal, the sync is fine but the pitch seems a little higher than before.
ive got an xvid which seems to have a fault in the .ac3 but the playback is fine until you try and convert it to pal dvd, using tmpgenc or pro coder, then i get about a second sync problem, even when i use besweet to convert to 25fps. the above two apps when downmixing seem to do the same?
ive tried using besliced to fix the stream this allows me to use it in tmpgenc dvd author but theres still a sync prob.

is there a better app or solution to the above sequence of coverting xvids to 25fps, preferably using cce for video? i will try ac3fix on the stream with the sync prob and see if that fixes it.
as for the xvids with vbr mp3 how do i convert them so the sound sounds right?

i founf the sync prob was due to the ac3 track being a bit corrupted, fix it by delaying 500ms. what i need help with now is the other probs concerning converting ntsc 23,976fps mp3 avi's to 25fps ac3 and still achieving the same audio pitch as the original.

You can't do this with Beesweet?

If you read the NTSC to PAL related threads you may find some help. A method you can use it's to transocode your mp3 to wav, open it in Cool Edit pro and adjust the output desired lenght (I don't remember which filter you need to use but it works).
