convert to mjpeg for bait and switch

Is it worth it to convert to mjpeg and then switch at the end of your porject to dv avi for faster editing or is it already fast enough?

Keep it DV - its sort of adavanced MJPEG (has like MJPEG i-frames only) and is fast enough for editing.

Agreed, keep it DV.

DV is very good for editing, especially if your software has "smart render". That way you don't recompress all the frames, just the ones you added effects to.

It's a bad a idea to keep converting between codec formats (quality and color loss).
