DVDRemake Pro replaces what??

I've got a fair collection of utilities to edit IFO's and strip streams, etc. It seems from the literature that DVDRemake does it all now. (??)

So.... Which of these utilities functions are duplicated in DVDRemake or DVDRemake Pro? Or, which should I keep if they do "it" better?

VobBlanker
DVD Stripper
VobEdit
Titleset Blanker

Are none/some/all these functions included in DVDRemake?

DvdReMake will completely (from what I know about this programs) cover VobBlanker, DVD Stripper and Titleset Blanker from your your list (I think, may be some people who are more experienced with these programs can correct me).

IfoEdit has two things "build in": dvd editing and basic authoring (create a disk from video/audio/subs streams). DvdReMake Pro will do pretty much everything what IfoEdit does for editing (apart from editing streams properties in ifos, which is comming later) plus more (all commands are supported, add pgc/vts, some "smart" editing actions).

DvdReMakePro does not expose any actions to user to work with streams, hence one can't strip streams with it (IfoEdit can) and can't do authoring (multiplex streams). Instead one can use whole cells from other disks to re-author a disk.

May be I've missed something but these are the main things, I guess.

That's exactly what I do when "remake"-ing a DVD.
First I remove the unnecessary audio and subtitle streams from the movie with IFOEdit (other tools leave IFOs and VOBs full of trash), then comes the editing out step for menus/extras/links by DVDReMake.
It would be very nice to have both features in one application.
Do you have any idea when will it (approx.) be available?

I can see you rip the DVD first seeing as you remove the audio/subs with Ifoedit

why not get hold of DVDShrink 3.2 (if you haven't already got it) and use that to remove audio/subs when ripping. Set it to No Compression and then it will only rip what it needs and give you the files to use with DVDRemake

this will save you quite a lot of time as processing with Ifoedit to remove audio subs takes up a lot of user time and hard drive space. You also cannot strip audio from selective titles but only complete VTS :(

one thing to be aware of with DVDShrink is that you don't use the logical remapping option

Ifoedit also has a bug with audio/subs. An example would be a VTS that has audio in streams 1,2,4&5 and not 3. If you run this through Ifoedit without even stripping anything it will lose streams 4&5 audio's as it doesn't recognise anything after a blank stream. I noticed this when playing with DVDStripper as it used Ifoedit to rebuild the VTS and this was one of the bugs we came across with Ifoedit. Another was the PTT_SRPTI table would also get messed up depending on the original IFO if they were not sequential

so using DVDShrink with No Compression is a faster and safer way to remove audio/subs ;)

@valnar, what do you think then, does it compliment the rest of the tools you have?

Actually I also know IFOEdit's audio/subs bug, for example it could see only the first audio stream in the movie of which I sent the IFOs in the morning. According to your explanation it occured because the second stream was not labeled as #2, but #2 does not exist at all.

And yes, when IFOEdit has problems I use DVDShrink v. 3.2 (only setting its output to DL DVD and using No Compression) for stripping. My problem is that I am looking for a stripping app that could correct even VOBU Search Info (VOBU_SRI) and makes correct DVD-Video on its output.
Do you know such applications? In fact I thought that IFOEdit leaves no trash after stripping...:(
