Need help fitting movie on DVD. 6MB over the limit ;(

I encoded a 9-Pass CCE job of bravehart, and the DVD files are 4.37 after finishing. I already stripped all audio, menu, and subtitles. Is there any other way to cut some of the end credits out without having to re-encode? Thanks for any help.

First of all, doing a 9-pass encode ist completely useless!! you really don't get any better quality when going beyond 3 passes! some people even report that the quality is going down! but anyway...
i would simply use DVD-Shrink to transcode it. you can also use DVD-Shrink to cut out the credits (without having to transcode it).

As Malcolm said DvdShrink would work or you could try ReJig

4.37GB can be burned, even a "low" 4.38GB can on DVD-R, DVD+R are a little smaller though.

Thanks guys for replying. I was able to cut out some credits with dvdshrink. So Im getting ready to encode another movie over 3 hours, "The Green Mile". Would it be an advantage to at least use 6-pass cce, or should I just go ahead and do a 3 pass? I just upgraded my pc to a 3200+ Athlon with 1gb RAM ddr400 so I can encode a 6-7 pass movie overnight(around 10 hours). Is it worth the extra passes if I have the time?

IMHO: No. The ability to do more than 2 VBR passes in CCE is a marketing bulb. Most of the time I do just 1 pass (VAF + 1 VBR pass), rarely 2. It's just a waste of time.
