Just curious, how many people here have successfully burned to a DVD+R DL, and the method (or methods) by which you've accomplished this.

Me, I've burned one, a perfect copy of The Thing Collector's Edition. Using DVD Decrypter, I ripped the DVD in file mode, and using Nero Express, put the video files into a DVD project, which I then burned. It should be noted that I use a Mad Dog DVD+R DL burner which runs at, of course, 2.4x. Oh, and I use Nero 6, which is a damn fine (and well-suited, in this instance) program.:)

Saying that Nero is 'damn fine' is funny. It has fewer features than the combination cdrtools+dvddecrypter but costs a lot and is full of bugs...

Did you test your disc on some dvd rom drives or dvd players?

Why rip it in file mode? Just do an iso with dvddecrypter and then burn it with dvddecrypter.

Hey, I only use Nero to put data onto disks, and that's it. And until it no longer performs that functions flawlessly, which it has so far, I will call it "damn fine" as long as I want!;) Seriously though, I didn't use DVD Decryptor in iso mode because I read, on a different forum, of someone making a very expensive coaster out of a DVD+R DL by trying that method. Then again, there are reports of successful burning of a DVD+R DL in iso mode at the DVD Decrypter forum, which shows that DVD Decrypter probably works for this after all.

And yes, the disk playerd flawlessly, with no noticable layer break, in my Panasonic DVD player (S25), PlayStation 2, and computer. I even checked the disk for any kind of errors using a Nero tool, which didn't turn op a single one.
