I have a film that is on my hard drive wich has been joined together using tmpeg to form a single file...

now this is a vcd and presume it is in normal stero sound .. what i want to know is ..

is there a programe that can take normal stero sound and convert it to 5:1 or is there a process that can be done to make the film have a 5:1 audio track if so would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction

also please excuse me if I have put in accurate comments in regards to stereo output on the vcd all I know is that is 2 channel

Hi,

If you check the thread at the top "Stereo to Surround", you'll find a bunch of methods to convert stereo to surround. There are quite a few others in guides throughout this forum as well. Just do a search. For most of the methods, you need your source file in a stereo wave file, so you should also look around the forum or in the Doom9 guides for instructions on extracting the audio from your VCD and creating a stereo wave file. You can also try www.videohelp.com and www.hydrogenaudio.com

Good luck.
