View Full Version : AVI2DVD doesn't like mp42 AVI

hiya,

I'm trying to convert an mp42 AVI file using AVI2DVD, but when attempting to preview the video it states that...

AVISource: couldn't locate a decompressor for fourcc mp42 (C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\TEMP\preview.avs, line 2)

...which I think is because it needs a VFW compatible codec, rather than a DirectShow one, right? the AVI plays just fine in WMP of course.

Is there a way around this issue? I'd really like to convert this AVI to DVD, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

is there a VFW compatible mp42 codec out there somewhere, or is there some other solution to this?

thanks very much for your help.
