Problem playing burned DVD in DVD Player

I burned a DVD using Nero and it would appear to be working great on my computer. When I played it on my DVD player (Sanyo DWM-360) which is about 4 years old, the image seems to be zoomed in a little bit. The bottom side and the right side where not fully visible.
My DVD burner is AOpen DRW8800 8X and the media I used was Sony DVD-R. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Should I try using some other burning tool?

Honestly, you are a lucky one that this player even recognizes the burned DVD and plays it also.

Thanks for the help. You're right, my DVD player is the problem. It only displays 80% of the screen when I play DVD+R and it does not play DVD-R. I guess I have to buy a new one. :(
