mmap patch for VirtualDub (AVI reindexing)

A friend of mine got rather annoyed at the amount of I/O that VirtualDub makes when reindexing AVI files, and has whipped up patch (against 1.5.10) for this:

The patch only affects AVI-reindexing operations.

Can we get people to test this (and possibly get it included with VDubMod later)?

hmm.. The patch doesn't work for me. It doesn't start at all.
But I have a rather old system: Athlon 700 - using Win98SE.

The error message says something like this: "The .exe is linked with a missing function in kernel32.dll..."
