Ok, I just burned my copy of Kill Bill uncut last night with the subs edited for just the Jap speaking parts. I popped the DVD in to my really finicky player (if it'll play on it, it'll play on anything) and it wouldn't play. I'm at a loss, because I followed all the guides on this site including the forums. Here's what I did (BTW this is a previously CCE encoded copy):
1. Used DIF4U to demux my assets
2. Edited my subs for the Jap speaking parts
3. Ran DoPulldown and set the Pulldown flag, Progressive flag, and Drop Frame flag to on
4. Imported all my assets into Maestro
5. Synced my audio to the video
6. Compiled the DVD (gave me errors saying that my menu wasn't linked, etc. Also gave me an error saying I had a buffer underrun because there was an instance of the bitrate being to high. Elsewhere in the forums, they say to just ignore that warning so I did) Also the length of the movie is a couple seconds shorter for some reason.
7. Copied the compiled VOBs over to my VIDEO_TS directory
8. Ran IFOUpdate with all options set except Region Free (already is) and Auto Correct Length
9. Opened up IfoEdit and clicked save to see if everything was alright, and it reported errors about VTS_TMAPTI length and Endsector size, so after doing research on the forums, used the Create New IFOs under VOB extras, and only selected Correct Original IFOs.
10. My original IFO size was 244K, new one is 86K
11. Used ImgTool to create ISO and DVD Decrypter to burn.
What am I doing wrong?? Thanks.
