Just did a speed test against version 1.5. Version 2 is about 30% faster on highest quality, not double speed as reported by Canopus. The quality looks the same to me, i.e. very good. Conclusion is it is now worthwhile using this for dv material, as it is only about 20% slower than cce.

On my machine (2400@2200 mhz) canopus 2 as speed is *identical* like canopus 1.5.

in mine, speed is the same. but i feel a bit more quality in lower bitrate...

thought i'd ask you guys, is there a way to specify non-interlaced for output? all i have is tff or bff.

Select Stream Format "Generic ISO Mpeg Stream" instead of DVD. Then you're able to choose "non interlaced".

have you guys noticed any quality improvement in 'mastering quality'? I actually did not use it with 1.5 because to my eyes it was worse than 'highest quality'

also, have you guys checked if you still need to lower the max GOP size to make 23.976fps mpeg2s comliant with authoring software?
