Region problem

Can anyone help me to resolve this on Family Guy Season 1,2,3?

Well your drive is set to region 2, the disc is region 1.

The only thing you can do to get rid of that 'warning' (not 'error'!) message is to change the region of your drive.

You could of course just make the drive region free?! (Use the LtnRPC util)

Wouldn't a program such as AnyDVD or Region Free allow the disc to be played? The region free firmware would probably be the cheapest route though.

And the better one too to avoid that artificial super-market. I was running into problems using Linux, couldnt even mount a copy-protected region 1 DVD. It worked fine on windows though, really a bit annoying.

I guess it wouldnt have happened in the first case without the drive complaining about region code.

DVD Decrypter will do everything AnyDVD and Region Free will in terms of creating a set of unprotected files.

You'll be able to copy what's on the disc just fine - it's only a 'warning' afterall! I like to tell people what the program is doing (it helps them learn) - others hide it all.

Don't want to infatuate your ego Lightning UK, but I find your program more useful than all the others combined. I like using files from the HD. AnyDVD is set in the off position and Region Free rarely sees the light of day. I am not a big fan of recording on the fly, which these background decryption tools are mainly used for. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.

DVD Decrypter is best at what its supposed to do, the decryption works fine, it just gives me teh warning.
