I have a set of MPEG1 files captured from a VHS source. The sound on both files at some points drifts all the way over to the right channel, which was not part of the original program. My question is, can I somehow fix the audio and add it back to the original video source without encoding the video again (losing some quality in the process, I'm afraid)? I have all the audio editing type programs I would need, I really just need to know if there is such a way to extract the audio from the MPEGs and then add in a new audio track. Oh and as for the original audio drift, I didn't capture the video so I don't know what the story is there.
Thanks in advance for your help, hopefully my question was clear enough, I'm kind of new to this stuff.
