Avi & Mpeg >>> Dvd [Archive]

Hello, I have several avi files (some DivX 5 others Xvid) and some mpeg's I need to place into a DVD, so that'll it will play on a regular dvd player. Now do I need to covert each file separetly to DVD format and then join them, or is there some program that u'd recommend for doing this(automated process)?

p.s: sorry if this isn't the best section...
