View Full Version : MKV Issue with combining MPEG4 video and MPEG1 audio using AR

Hello,
I use to keep the original audio track from my dvb streamings while encoding video to xvid.
This works great with mkv till the moment I set an aspect ratio for anamorphic material. Those films are jerking now. But only with complete direct show based player (TCMP, BsPlayer ect., video decoder does not matter) With Media Player Classic or VLC the video is working.
However those working players has its own audio decoder so I can't say if the problem is related to the MAD - Filter (for MPEG audio) or Matroska. Because it works without AR it seems it has something to do with Matroska.

Can somebody confirm that. In that case it would be fantastic to fix this issue.

Cheers

P.S same films work with the audio stream in another format like ogg.

when decoding anamorphic streams in dshow the so called "overlay mixer" gets used
on some systems it seems to cause jerky playback

try playing the stream not anamorphically resized and report if it still is jerky

Thanks for your reply.
Shortly before I attached, that the problem is only caused by that combination. When I reencode the MPEG-1 track to ogg and mux it with the video data it works with the same aspect setting without jerking.

edit:
Setting the AR in Zoom Player to 'source' has no effect on the jerking (I don't know another method to watch a file with AR-Tag without resize).
