Hi,
I have a small problem. Whenever I rip my CDs I have to manually tag the file and add the album art to it. I bought Musicmatch Jukebox some time ago anfd it automatically tagges using the file name and then sarched for the missing information on its server. Is there anything wlse which can download all the information by just knowing the song name and the artist. It would be nice if it could import album art too. Now I know you guys are mainly interested in audio coding etc but as you are the audio gurus I felt I could get a good answer here.
Thanks

You can do several things:

- Tagging artist, title, tracknumber, genre, date, etc... can be donde easely via freedb (or cddb with MMJB I guess). I think that newer versions of MMJB can retrieve the information not only from filename but also from online database. I guess that Winamp can also do it. I'll give you two toher tools that you could check out: EAC (Exact Audio Copy) for CD ripping and automatically retrieve infromation from freedb and rename files. Another option is foobar2000 audio player which have a freedb tagging option.

- Cover (art album): I guess that you want to use the id3v2 tag. In that case use MMJB, it's easy and works quite good fo rthat purpose. But I don't know if it retrieve the cover (and tag it into the file) directly or you have to tag it manually (by choosing the picture).

Hope it helps.
