I have a previously CCE encoded movie that I'm working with. I've demuxed all the assests, imported them into Maestro, then imported my chapters from chapter extractor. Problem is, towards the end of the movie, the chapters are about half a minute off. I know my video is non-drop frame, and the source is NTSC. Why is the time different even though I haven't reencoded or messed with the video stream?
BTW This is even after I've compiled the project and am viewing it with WinDVD.
your problem is due to the drop-frame
NTSC scene times (chapter points) rely on dropframe to properly line up.
It's been a long time though since I've used maestro to be able to tell you how to set it but dropframe is just a flag... I believe in maestro you have to set your chapter locations w/ the non-drop asset then remove it and put the dropframe asset in it's place

Thanks for the help again D3s7! I ran my m2v thru dopulldown and only turned on Drop Frame. I created a new project in Maestro and imported the Drop Frame m2v, audio, subs, and chapter points. Everything lined up. Why would I switch back to the non drop frame? The drop frame m2v had the correct time reported by ifoedit and windvd.
My question now is, is it alright if my audio is reporting the non-drop frame time? I've synced the audio to the movie, and it reports the length of the non-drop time movie (I never imported the non-drop frame m2v). When I complie and do ifoupdate everything seems fine. I opened my ifo up in ifoedit and it reported a bunch of errors about time tables. When I opened the DVD in windvd, it was showing tht non-drop frame length. (Which is why I'm guessing that ifoedit was showing the errors.) What am I doing wrong?
