Hi All,

I have a few episodes of Six Feet Under that I'd like to convert from XViD to DVD format. I've managed to re-encode the video in the proper mpg format with CCE, but don't know how to proceed from there. Are there any applications that will let me just drag and drop an mpg, then turn it into the proper VIDEO_TS dvd structure?

I tried TMPG DVD Author but it complains that the video is not 29.97 fps. The video is film 23 fps. Is there any software out there that will burn this type of mpg? If I re-encode the mpg to 29.97 fps I'll get audio drift, won't I?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Forgive me, I'm still new at this type of stuff. This episode was ripped from HDTV, does that mean it is interlaced? Also, is progressive NTSC 23 fps? I've gotten the .avi converted to an mpg with cce, I just don't know how to convert it to the VIDEO_TS DVD structure. Most of the authoring programs I've tried give me an error because the movie is 23 fps and not 29.97.

In order for the authoring programs to accept 23.967fps video, you need to perform "3:2 pulldown" (use the Search), which will make the video stream look like 29.97fps. One of the programs that can do this is command-line Pulldown (see download page) along with optional GUI DoPulldown.

This is not related to whether the video is interlaced or not; keep it as is.
