Help Widescreen to Fullscreen

Hi Peeps,
After my 3 attempts to back up my scratched dvd i succeeded but i didn't want it to be widescreen due to my tv having problems with this. I have now binned the scratched dvd but want to know if there is anyway to re-encode the back-up to fullscreen please.

Sure, you can, any time. There are many ways. Do you want to re-author it into a DVD, or encode it into an MPEG-4 (or maybe MPEG-1)?

Use any freeware authoring programs, or DGIndex(crop, index)+AGK, or DGIndex+TMPGEnc(crop, encode).

Thanx for the reply yes i want to re-encode it back to dvd please but im sorta an loser when it comes to this teccie stuff.

you know that you'll loose picture when you do that (cut of the left and right)?

if it's still ok then should use CCE to encode (highest quality) and avisynth for the changes (use crop, lanczosresize)
i'm sure you'll easily find guides on both [and you can ask again if needed :) ]

Got hold of CCE but its doesnt recognise the vob format my dvd is in so i dont know how to re-encode to fullscreen this format.
