Hello,

In the Newbies forum I was talking about lossy compression, and at one point the 3ivx codec was mentioned. I just want to express that I don't think that 3ivx codec works in any way worse than the other MPEG-4 variants, because some might take that conclusion from my posts.

Also I'd like to pull back anything I've said regarding the nature of the quantization in MPEG4 compression because I didn't consider the additional recompression loss resulting from the motion search.
