According to the FAQ file, D2SRoBA isnt supported. I just wanted to make sure the FAQ isnt old, and D2SRoBA now supports it.
Anyone have suggestions?

At the time I wrote that short guide, ver 1.2.2 b1 using RoBa had not been issued and I did not make the RoBa comment part in the Q&A.
But I use RoBa method in all my batch encodes. It works with CCE 2.50, not sure if it does with the other CCE versions.
All you do is setup exactly as per the Q&A guide says, but change the Batch file reference to DVD2SVCD.EXE to D2SRoBa.exe. Each line would then look something like:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Tylo\D2SRoBa.exe" -d2s:"C:\MOVIE1\dvd2svcd project file.d2s" -run -exit
Hope that helps.

Thank :) ill give that a try, but i have another question. In DVD2SVCD, under "Encoder", the "Save in folder" is set to a specific folder. How can I have this folder dependent on the file being encoded at the time? It seems like if this folder is set to 1 folder in batch mode, then all files would be overwritten after the first file is encoded. Am I right? What do I do?

When you run D2S, load in your avi, set it up as required, make sure in the Misc Tab, you hit "Default Output Folder" button and then click "Set Default output folder" button and browes to a folder. Exit and load in the next AVI, do the same but now make the Output folder to another folder. I make a heap of folders such as MOVIE1, MOVIE2, MOVIE3, etc. In the sample batch file, you notice it goes to each of 3 different folders where the file "dvd2svcd project file.d2s" should be for each of the 3 encodes.
Maximum I done in one batch mode was 16 small 30min TV episodes, but it all depends on how much HD space and time you have.

Cool. Thanks for the replys, you have been a big help. I have another question tho. I was going to create a new thread, but you might now the answer. Ive been coverting OGM to DVD. Im trying to find the fastest way to do this, since I have alot of files to do. So far, ive extracted the .avi divx and .ogg audio from the OGM file. Then I converted the ogg to ac3, then muxed the .avi and .ac3. I found another program that will convert OGM to avi in one shot, but i think i might be losing quality with all these conversions.
Is there a way to convert a video only .avi file with DVD2SVCD? Ive tried doing this, but it gives me a message saying "No audio stream selected", and it hangs. I mainly want to get a .m2v video file, so I can import this into DVD Lab to author. DVD2SVCD converts a full .avi file to a muxed.mpg file on default.
Any suggestions, please comment. Thanks :)

I've never really played around with OGM files, but try loading it into NanDUB (it suports OGG audio), set Video to Direct Stream Copy and Audio to Full Processing Mode. Then Save AVI, it will save the video untouched and convert the audio to WAV. Then just D2S this new AVI. This all depends on the OGM file loading into NanDUB, if it doesnt, then I you had better make a new thread :D

Thanks, ill give NanDUB a try. What about my other question, any ideas if I can configure DVD2SVCD to just give me .m2v and a seperate audio file? When I import the final .mpg file into DVD Lab, it demuxes the file, and this causes the video to get pixalated when I burn the dvd for some reason (so id rather DVD lab just mux the files).
Create a blank batch file (ie open notepad, select "save as" from the File menu and choose "all files" as the "save as type", then use whatever.bat as the filename).
Then go into DVD2DVCD Mulitplex tab and click the button to browse for mplex.exe. Select "all files" as the filetype and route it to your blank .bat file. Then select "No images" in the CD image tab.
When you do your conversion, DVD2SVCD will then crash at the multiplexing stage leaving you with elementary streams - Encoded_Audio_1.mp2 and a .mpv file (which is the same as an m2v file and can be renamed as such if necessary). If you have 2 mpv files in your output folder, use the one with Pulldown somewhere in the filename.

Edit - @Spydermonkey - if Chickenman's Nandub trick works, please could you delete your other thread on the subject. Cheers :)
Edit2 - Yeah, I shouldn't take the credit for this, as R6D2 point out below, it's DDogg's trick ;)

Demuxing is lossless, so if output is pixelated, surely the source is too. I don't know what may be causing this, but surely demuxing by DVD-Lab should not.
Anyway, try using the elementary streams left by DVD2SVCD this way.

Thanks for the suggestions, but Nandub wont open a .ogm file

I would rather do this, since I have the .avi extracted from the .ogm, and the audio is seperate as a .ac3 file.

Then just load Mux the 2 together in Nandub and Save AVI. Then just run that through D2S.

When I do this, DVD2SVCD pops up a window when conversion starts saying the wrong multiplexer, download at blah blah blah. You have to click "ok" to continue. Problem is, I want to run a batch file. Is there a way to disable that window? Seems like they should have created an option in the program to do this.
Any suggestions? :)

long time since this was asked but never saw an answer. I just create a blank notepad document and rename it to hae a .exe file extension. Point DVD2SVCD to look for this file as the BBMpeg executable.
Muxign starts but of course nothing happens and the process finishes. Works for me;)
