For me (when i was using MS Windows) i changed to Firefox because of the annoying popups back at FF 0.7 (or maybe FF 0.6, i cant recall for sure...).
I didnt know jack about tabbed browsing, but now i wonder how i could have survived so long without knowing about it :)

Just to take a quick detour back to the original topic of this thread: MS released 4-5 critical fixes today. You can get them via windows update.

I just discovered a sweet plugin (http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&id=128&vid=196) for use forum users. It puts many of the common vbulletin post formating in the right-click menu. The cool part is it also works with the clipboard. So to make the link above I just copied the link into my clipboard, highlighted the words to linkify in the textbox and then used the right-click menu to turn them into a link.

You can do the same thing with quotes and images too, in addition to the normal font options.

Now, because of the bug 232467 (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232467), this works except for the root folder, which is never remembered. Perhaps it's worth noting that this bug 232467 was fixed today. Just keep in mind that it might be a (relatively) buggy nightly. Noone knows if it will work.

When you're adding bookmarks, the window shows a dropdown with 5 recently used "folders". It was a brain-dead idea but developers stand by it.
That was also the case for subjects in a folder. I'm really missing that in firefox.
