I broke my primary rule, if it ain't broke then don't fix it. I downloaded and installed the latest version of Dvddecrypter and now I can't make copies of dvd 9s with it. My old version would default to all the files I needed to shrink with DVD2ONE but the new version only gives me 1 ifo file and the movie files. When I click on the additional files required the other files are no longer highlighted. The old version of decrypted me more than one ifo file and included some bup files that were required then I would shrink with DVD2ONE and burn With Nero. I know many of you use DvdShrink and DvdFab and other programs. I have all those but the older version of Dvddecrypter came in handy every so often. Are there some settings I can make to get the new version to work like the older one or will I have to track down the older version and reinstall it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default settings of 3.2.2.0 are to select all files and run in File mode.

I very much doubt that's different to your old one - especially as that setting is the only one that works with all the conversion utils like dvd2one, dvd shrink, clonedvd etc.

Uninstall and then reinstall, it sounds like something messed with your settings.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program now it copies the main movie and ifo files but no bup files which I think DVD2ONE needs to perform it's shrinking of the movie. I am sorry it took so long to reply to your post but I haven't had time to turn my computer on for a few days. I really liked DVDDECRYPTER even though I have newer programs, it always got the job done with quality. I will never upgrade a program that is working for me again. I was just stupid stupid stupid. I want to thank you for taking the time to respond to my post:(

I've no idea what's going on here.

3.2.2.0 will default to copying EVERYTHING on the dvd over to your hdd.

If it's not doing that:

1. Maybe you dont have the correct version
2. Another program is messing with the settings (or you are)
3. Something is up with your registry and the settings aren't being reinitialised

When the program loads, you get a box displaying loads of file names + sizes yeah? That's File mode.

All of those should be selected by default.

And dont think badly upon yourself for upgrading, the new version fixes loads of stuff from 3.1.4.0. It sounds like you just need to learn how to actually use the program instead of just taking it for granted. It really isnt difficult, honest!

First I want to thank all who the time to answer my question. As stated in one reply I didn't know how to use the new version properly. I found what I was doing wrong and now all works fine. I may be starting a new thread on DvdFab v 1.96. Just got it and haven't had time to work with it yet. Thanks again to those who tried to help.:D
