I tried for a test to backup many, we should say, "strange made" DVD discs. I think DVD rebuilder divide the movie to the separate cells and encode one by one. It is OK, the size of every MPV file created in prepare phase is bellow 300 MB.

I think there is a problem if part of the movie is one big file - DVD Rebulder try to create one big MPV file and hang at 2148 MB exactly - I think this is 2 GB barrier (16 bit exporting routine) and it say "Runtime error 63" and crash.

Please, does anybody know if there is any way around this error ? In 99% of movies it is OK, but some extras is not separated to smaller files and DVD Rebuilder allways hang at 2 GB of filesize (it does not matter which OS or filesystem is used, it allways crash when exported MPV file reach 2 GB).

Great example is Schindler's List Disc 2, main movie is OK, but bonus movie is extracted as one 3,5 GB MPEG-2 file (tried it with VOBtools) and when the file reach 2 GB size DVD Rebuilder allways crash. The same situation is for other movies with long bonus movies.

I would guess your disk is formatted as FAT32 which has a limit of 2gb for any single file.

As far as I know the only way around this is to reformat or convert your drive to NTFS

Searching on Google should give you some pointers

As I said, it does not matter what filesystem is use. I use XP and NTFS filesystem, therefore it could not be this problem. Even a limit of FAT32 filesystem is 4 GB, not 2 GB.

I think it could be limit of file export module in DVD Rebuilder.
