I have the latest TMPEGENC. I'm trying to demux a vob file which is a clip from a DVD.
When I open the vob file on the demux page, it shows the video stream and a "private stream" for the audio. It's not able to determine what the stream is (it's AC3).

Some of my clips work fine (shows the correct audio type), others don't. They were all take off the DVD in the same exact way. Each has the video stream and one AC3 audio stream.

Any ideas why the program is having problems?

BTW, DVD Author has the same problem, it can "read" the video stream but it can't figure out what the audio stream is.

BTW2, these VOB clips play perfectly in PowerDVD.

Instead, use VobEdit. Open the first VOB file (VTS_01_1.VOB), click Demux, and check All Audio and All Video streams. It'll demux all the VTS_01_x.VOB files at once.

Thanks for the reply.

Here's some background into my project. I was using DVDShrink
to output small clips from movies. Each output creates an .ifo and .vob file that play perfectly in power DVD. Each vob file is named VTS_01_1.VOB by dvdshrink. I have each output set in a different directory. Then I would take each .vob file (one at a time) and load them into DVD Author each as a different track. Out of 7 clips, 4 worked just fine using this process. The fact that they play fine in PowerDVD makes me think that they were created fine by DVDShrink.

Still, try demuxing with VobEdit. PowerDVD is very forgiving, so it may play a slightly corrupted stream.
