Hello!

I'm trying to backup the whole Band of Brithers (5*DVD) series. I finished 4 discs, but I found a strange problem. On every discs there are two episodes. Both 4 discs on title 2 / chapter 2 there's a flickering on the beginning! It's very short, just a half second, but very annoying. It is very strange that the problem is on the same position (not time, but title/chapter) on every discs. I only have two of the four unrebuilded dictionarys, in both the wrong files are the 8th (V01000700002002).

I use DVD-RB 0.53a, and CCE SP. It seems the problem is in the rebuilding session. I think the m2v files are perfect.

What can it be, and what should I do?

No, this is the R2,4 version, PAL.
CCE SP 2.67.00.23, but i think it's not a CCE but a RB problem.

I tryed with 0.54, the last disc, and 1pass encoding, the same happened (for the first 4 discs I used 1+3 passes).

I have done all the BOB discs and they playback fine. I did three with CCE and two with Rejig (time constraints).

Check this rar file:
http://atiszucs.web.elte.hu/public/bob_d1.rar

It's only 3,87MB this is that part of the movie where the problem is. Watch the man's hand when hi starts crossing himself!
3rd sec, the beginning of the second chapter.

I have watched it and did see what you are talking about. It's very brief. I watched my copy and it doesn't have the same problem.

What about using DVD Shrink? Even the biggest DVD only need compressing by 15% (85% on Shrink's scale and if you keep just the English audio).

I tried with DVDShrink, and almost got a heart attack {8-) It was terrible! There's only one way: CCE!

I'm from Oz (Pal) and I have this problem with all disk's on certain chapters. Lord of the rings (All 3), Gladiator to name a few. This has been with DVD-RB early versions onwards. Can't remember exactly what version I noticed it originally. But I do strip all unwanted video/audio etc with Shrink before using DVD-RB. Such a pain in the ass I have to go back to the old way. As I love this tool. That's why I contributed. Which is rare. Deep pockets, short arms ...LOL...
