CCE crashing with DVD-RB

With the last few versions of DVD-RB, CCE is crashing, usually somewher during the encode of the first cell. It is sometimes on the VAF creation, and othertimes during the second or third pass. I tried just opening the item.ecl in CCE without Rebuilder and that encodes fine, so it seems to be something about Rebuilder monitoring or doing something to CCE during the encode.

I've disabled Anti-Virus etc, and tried diferent settings etc but no luck.
This is happening with 2.66 and 2.67 (i have got the right version selected in setup - ecl opens this version too)

Anyone help?

With the last few versions of DVD-RB, CCE is crashing, What version of CCE are you using? Has it been consistent through all these versions? The reason I ask is that, since DVD-RB simply executes an instance of CCE -- I'm not sure how it could be influencing whether it crashes.

at the moment 2.67 but the same happens with 2.66 and 2.50

Not sure what to say. I've been using SP 2.50 and Basic 2.69.01.09 and I'm not seeing crashes. It has to be something related to your computer. Have you done any tests recently to check your CPU/Memory configuration?

I've installed a program called MemTurbo and increased the size of my Virtual Memory and just got it to work!. Will try another before I say that I've solved it!!!

How much ram do you have sidders? My lowest test righ has 512MB and the best 1.5GB of DDR333.

I dont think a segment ever goes over 512MB+swap space (512MB-1024MB I think it is on that rig), but most certainly could go over 256MB and a low swap file size/too little space on C: if your swap is there (like it is by default).

I run fine with 256, though it's RD ram so it's quick.
