Noticing that HTPC setups are becoming more mainstream this past year, with more machines promoting the windows media center system, and the battle between the "big 2" video card companies with the whole HDTV integration thing, I'm wondering if this is the future of digital entertainment.
Intrigued, I have begun a search for the best way to make one myself. With the idea to rip all my movies to a hard drive (or 4), i have been using AutoGK to experiment with different sizes and qualities, and have been looking for front-end/back-end alternatives for an HTPC setup.
What's your thought on this?
Any preference to front/back end?
Codec? Settings for AutoGK? Integration
for web movie download? FTP?
Just looking for the best way to do this,
while keeping the future in mind. What's the best of the best?!?!?
