xvid video crashes player (self encoded)

I recently encoded a video using koepi's 1.01 xvid build. The picture looks great, but when I try and play it back, every single player crashes (winamp, core, zoom, real, bsplayer) and even virtual dub. The only player than can play it fine is vidomi except when I try and seek, it crashes. Also, the aspect ratio is off. I'm frameserving the vob files to vdub via avisynth. Is there any way to make the aspect ratio right without out using a resize filter?

I hope someone could help me too!

Almost everyone I know has this problem (atleast 2 of my friends reported it).

Some movies work, and some that even used to work crash upon playback (in WMP, MPC and other players)

I've installed XVID 1.0, 1.0.1 (All KOEPI'S) and both crash :(
Note: I uninstalled 1.01 and installed 1.0 after getting the problem

I'm not sure how to explain this, but I think it started happening to me after upgrading to 1.0.1.

Dunno if this could also be related to any windows updates or something.

P.S. Using DivX's decoder solves the problems!

Well this really has nothing to do with xvid. And yes, you will have to resize the video to get it in the correct aspect ratio.

As for the crash, do you think you could cut a small fragment that crashed and upload is somewhere? That would really help.

Yes, I was planning on transmuxing it to matroska. But how will that help the aspect ratio?

Well it crashes virtualDub, is there any other way I can cut a snip from it?
